CSU Jazz High School Honor Band
Join Us!
The CSU Jazz High School Honor Band Festival will assemble the top high school jazz students in Colorado for an educational experience focused on strengthening students’ ensemble and improvisational skills while building community among young Jazz musicians. Students will work with CSU faculty for instrumental sectionals and full-ensemble rehearsals.
Audition Materials and Instructions
Please submit videos via a private YouTube link or another cloud storage service. There is a field in the registration form to submit a link.

2026 DEADLINES
- Friday, March 10: Audition application submitted along with playing audition video.
- Friday, March 13: Students selected for participation will be announced.
- Friday, March 20: Commitment form due from successful applicants; music distributed to participants.
2026 FESTIVAL REHEARSALS
- Monday, April 13, and Wednesday, April 15: Evening rehearsals at the University Center for the Arts; sectionals and full-ensemble formats led by CSU jazz faculty.
2026 FESTIVAL CONCERT
- Friday, April 17, 7 p.m., Griffin Concert Hall, University Center for the Arts
- Seating begins 30 minutes before curtain.
- This free concert is open to the public.
COST AND REGISTRATION
- $10 application fee
- $40 participation fee for all selected students
