Alumni Marching Band

The CSU Alumni Band brings together members from throughout our 120-year history. Reconnect with friends, meet others who have shared in the CSU Marching Band experience, and dust off your chops as we play, spin, or just cheer together for our Ram team. We're excited for you to be part of this season — Go Rams!

“A Little Party Never Killed Nobody”

At the homecoming game, the Alumni Marching Band (including Golden Poms and color guard alumni) joined the CSU Marching Band on the field for this Fergie tune. What a fun party!

Alumni Marching Band History

CSU’s Alumni Marching Band began in 1993 when a group of enthusiastic alumni from the ’80s and ’90s rented a flatbed truck and participated in the Homecoming and Family Weekend parade. Over the years the group has grown in size, and annually joins the CSU Marching Band on the field – and in the stands – during the homecoming game.

In the early days of the Alumni Marching Band, the ensemble marched in the Homecoming and Family Weekend Parade, winning many awards.

Messages From Fellow Alumni

CSU Alumni Band at 2024 Homecoming and Family Weekend

We want YOU on the field with us, performing at pre-game and halftime with YOUR Colorado State Marching Band.

October 26 is the homecoming game vs. New Mexico. Kickoff is TBA. Band rehearsal generally starts six hours before kick-off, so expect to rehearse in the morning or mid-day.

We will update information here as we have it, and we'll send emails, so be sure to update your information with the Alumni Association.

REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE DATE

There is no cost to register, but if you don't already have the official Alumni Band long-sleeved t-shirt, you'll need to purchase one with your registration.

Registration also includes information about purchasing a football game ticket and a BBQ meal at the Ram Walk Tailgate. The Alumni Band will have a tent at the tailgate, and Alumni Band members are invited to play spirit tunes with the Presidential Pep Band at the tailgate.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A FOOTBALL GAME TICKET TO GET INTO THE STADIUM. If you have season tickets, an additional ticket purchase is not necessary, and you may sit with the Alumni Band in the section above the CSU Marching Band.

Once you register, we'll send a confirmation email with links to download your music for the performances and a full schedule for the weekend.

Enjoy an event-filled day culminating in a halftime performance on the field at Canvas Stadium, and help us #BringtheBoom!
