Bonnie Jacobi appointed chair-elect to Special Research Interest Group on Gender and Sexuality

Bonnie Jacobi Promotional PhotoDr. Bonnie Jacobi, associate professor music, Music Education, has been appointed as Chair-Elect (2020-2022) for the National Association of Music Education’s (NAfME) Special Research Interest Group on Gender and Sexuality. This appointment will evolve into the role of Chair of NAfME’s Gender and Sexuality SRIG during 2022-2024, during which time she will lead the United States on music education research in these important subject areas. Inspired by the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Dr. Jacobi hopes to bring light, value, and progress to gender and sexuality issues as they pertain to teaching and learning music.
