Harp student wins American Harp Society award

CSU harp student Abigail Enssle has won the Anne Adams Awards of the American Harp Society that took place at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana last week. The student of harp professor Courtney Hershey Bresh was selected into the semi-final round with an unprecedented 24 other competitors representing 15 schools, and advanced to the final round alongside seven finalists.

The Anne Adams Awards are held every other year and are for harpists enrolled full-time in college. The awards equally distributed to three winners who each receive a $2,000 scholarship, an invite to perform at the Society’s national conference, and $500 gift certificate to Lyon & Healy Harps.

“I am so proud of Abigail,” exclaimed Hershey Bresh!

In 2015, Enssle was chosen to perform on National Public Radio’s “From the Top” weekly classical music program. Enjoy an interview here.
