In an email from El Sistema Colorado Board Chair Marita Dominguez Braswell, it was announced that CSU music education alum Whitney Stuberg (B.M., 2013) assumed the full-time role of executive director of El Sistema Colorado starting June 8, 2020.

"As you may be aware, Whitney has grown quickly in her role as Development & Operations Manager since starting with ESC in September. Since then, Whitney has shown excellent leadership as we launched the ESC Music Center in the Curtis Park / Five Points neighborhood. She has proven herself and is clearly prepared to take ESC successfully into the future in this critical role," said Braswell.

In an interview on the El Sistema Colorado website, Stuberg says that this fall, she will announce a new 18-month operational plan partnered with a three-year strategic plan that is focused on four pillars: Diversity and Equity, Musical Excellence, Organizational and Financial Stability, and Growth Readiness.

"I am so excited to see El Sistema Colorado’s place in the community one year from now. This organization is needed more than ever before and I cannot wait to invite all of Denver to make music with us."
