The Chamber Choir, conducted by James Kim, performs the Lux Aeterna by American composer, Morten Lauridsen. Joined by the CSU Concert Orchestra, the Concert Choir, conducted by Ryan Olsen, features Schubert’s Mass in G, which has been a standard of the choral/orchestral repertoire since its composition in 1815. It is a masterpiece that blends elements of Classical form in sacred choral music with some of the new harmonic innovations of the nineteenth century. At times it is graceful in its simplicity, at other times it is harmonically dense, rich, and intense.
