CSU Offers Continuing Education Credit at ClarinetFest 2023

2023 Continuing Education Credit Details

As a unique benefit to those attending the ClarinetFest 2023 Conference, Colorado State University will offer Continuing Education Unit Credit during the 2023 event. The credit can be used for re-licensure, and salary step increment.

Registration for MU 590D 732 – Workshop: Humanities is now open and will close on August 4, 2023. The course registration link is only available by request.

2023 Cost

  • $77: 1-credit hour
  • $154: 2-credit hours

Please Note: Once you register, the course cannot be dropped and is not eligible for a refund.

2023 Assignment

  • Your summary and reflections can be submitted electronically through email or via Canvas, CSU's online course portal.
  • The assignment allows for attending multiple sessions, including workshops, concerts, masterclasses, lectures, and all professional organization meetings.
  • Reflection should be a brief, one-to-two-paragraph reflection summarizing content and applicability to your work as a music educator.
  • Reflections must be submitted by Aug. 4, 2023

2023 Grades

  • Grades will be assessed and posted as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. Grades will be submitted to the Registrar's Office by Aug. 6, 2023. If your submitted assignment is considered unsatisfactory, the instructor will reach out with specific feedback and give you an opportunity to reach satisfactory status by Aug. 6.

All musicians and clarinetists are invited to an opportunity of a lifetime. The International Clarinet Association’s 50th Anniversary Conference – ClarinetFest® 2023, is taking place in Westminster, Colorado from July 5-9, 2023. CSU Clarinet Professor Dr. Wesley Ferreira is the artistic director of this event, which will attract thousands of clarinetists of all levels, abilities, and ages from around the world.

The conference is FREE for middle/high school students and there are volunteer opportunities that give free registration to anyone.

The conference will contain the largest selection of instruments, mouthpieces, ligatures, reeds, clarinet sheet music, and other clarinet accessories, including new products unveiled.

Each day will be filled with concerts presented by world-renowned soloists and ensembles. Lectures, workshops, and other learning opportunities are also available at various sessions.
