Non-Auditioned Concert Orchestra Open to All CSU Students

Leslie-Stewart-e1345146752837-922x1200The CSU Concert Orchestra is a non-auditioned string ensemble that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1-2:30 p.m. in Room 202 of the University Center for the Arts. The first rehearsal will be held the first Wednesday of the semester and all CSU students are welcome, regardless of major.

The ensemble’s conductor is Leslie Stewart (pictured) who was named “Most Inspirational Faculty Member” in 2006 by the College of Liberal Arts at Old Dominion University where she served as Director of Orchestral Activities. Professor Stewart is currently Director of CSU’s Summer Conducting Program for working music educators and Music Director of the Health & Wellness Orchestra, a community orchestra based at Poudre Valley Hospital. She has also served as Assistant Conductor of the Longmont Symphony and has recently guest conducted the Denver School of the Arts Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra of the Rockies and the Colorado All-State String Orchestra.
