Jazz is heating up at Colorado State University with a faculty of stellar Colorado jazz musicians. Focusing on straight-ahead jazz with a modern scholarly bent, the CSU faculty demonstrate that jazz is thriving in Fort Collins. Lead by the director of jazz studies, Wil Swindler (saxophone), the CSU Faculty Jazz Group includes Gabe Mervine (trumpet), Gabriel Santiago (guitar), Tom Amend (piano), Seth Lewis (bass), and Shilo Stroman (drums).
