Join the Jazz Ensembles I and II as they present an evening of compelling swing! Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Will Swindler, features music by the great Duke Ellington, as well as three later jazz composers who took influence from the Duke: Charles Mingus, Gil Evans, and Thad Jones. This concert will be both educational and extremely fun as we connect the music of a seminal American composer with the development of bebop and modern jazz, all in celebration of the joy this music continues to deliver!
