Biography

Kyle Wilhelm, MA, MT-BC is the clinic coordinator of the Music Therapy area at Colorado State University. For more than 20 years, Kyle has worked as a clinical music therapist with a variety of individuals, including children and adults with intellectual/physical disabilities, adults with acquired brain injury, older adults, and individuals in hospice.
Kyle holds an advanced degree in music therapy from the University of Iowa. Kyle has also participated in trainings in Guided Imagery and Music, World Music Drumming, and Health Rhythms. Kyle started a national roster internship and supervised 17 interns before moving to Colorado.

Kyle has served as president of the Iowa Chapter of Music Therapy, first vice-president of the Midwestern Region of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and co-chair for the Workforce Development and Retention Committee of AMTA. Kyle has published articles in several music therapy journals.

At Colorado State University, Kyle is in charge of coorindating students in their undergraduate and graduate practica.
