Calling all music students! This semester, the Music Appreciation faculty is trying a new concert series that combines both the MU100 students and you! For their first paper, we would like to help our Music Appreciation students learn to absorb the concert going experience in a more controlled and fun environment. In order to do this, we are creating the Music Appreciation Concert Series. There will be seven concerts this spring semester in the Organ Recital Hall, taking place during regular MU 100 class times - we've already done a few; the MU 100 students will write a paper about the concert. The performers will be members of our faculty and music student population. This gives you a great new opportunity for performance experience.
The professor and TA for each class will be in attendance, helping to guide the concert, and even encourage you to speak to the audience. Any performance is welcome (solo, chamber, etc.).
Please see the dates below for concerts that still need performers. Click on the link for your preferred concert date, and complete the concert registration page. Be sure use the comment box for the title of your piece, composer and dates, all performer names, and timing of the work. Thank you!
