The Classical Convergence Series, co-presented by Colorado State University School of Music, Theatre and Dance and the Fort Collins Lincoln Center continues when The Minguet Quartet with Andreas Klein, piano, appear on the Griffin Concert Hall stage on Thursday, Jan. 28, 7:30 p.m.
The innovative partnership between the two organizations presents a fresh concert series that features traditional classical solo artists and chamber ensembles, while further exploring new trends in classical music.
Next week’s concert is a perfect example of how the two organizations have built on the already successful classical concert programming of both as The Minguet Quartet is among one of the most well received string quartets internationally, and performs at major concert venues worldwide.
The quartet focuses on the Classical and Romantic repertoires, as well as contemporary music. This season they’ve teamed up with distinguished German pianist Andreas Klein for a truly incredible performance featuring works by Gould, Bach, and Chopin.
In addition to performances, the series fosters artist-student interaction and community engagement opportunities. Artists on the series partner with the School of Music, Theatre and Dance, and often with schools in Poudre School District, to present lectures and master classes, providing dynamic, hands-on instruction in an informal setting.
Tickets are on sale at lctix.com. $10/student, $22/general public
