It is with sadness that we inform you of the passing of two of our esteemed emeritus music faculty members: Dr. Edward Anderson and Dr David Shaner.

Edward Anderson, director of choral activities at Colorado State University from 1948-1982, passed away on July 5, days shy of his 98th birthday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations to be directed to music scholarships at Colorado State University. Donations can be made online or by sending in your contribution to the Colorado State University Foundation, 410 University Services Center, Fort Collins, CO 80523. David Shaner, professor of trumpet at Colorado State University from 1985-2009, passed away July 14 after struggling with health issues for the past few years. A memorial service has been set for Monday, July 28 at 2 p.m. in the Organ Recital Hall at the University Center for the Arts.
