Music Education Professor Bonnie Jacobi has accepted an invitation to serve on the Poudre School District’s Facilities Planning Steering Committee.
As Poudre School District (PSD) continues enrollment and budget discussions, the 31-member committee is charged with developing recommendations regarding potential modifications to program placement and school attendance areas, including the possible consolidation of schools.
Dr. Jacobi is one of two PSD parent representatives with a child feeding into Fossil Ridge High School but was also selected through an extensive application process.
“Through engaged scholarship, I hope to use the professional skills and experience I have developed at CSU to help this committee achieve its goals. PSD gives so generously to CSU constantly – this will be an incredible opportunity to give back and help their district in a time of need,” said Jacobi.
Dr. Jacobi is the director of the Colorado Kodaly Institute; a master teaching artist with the American Eurhythmics Society; and on the editorial board of the Journal of Historical Research in Music Education.
