Please join us for an afternoon concert in celebration and commemoration of the work and life of Dr. Gary Moody. This concert will be a time for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and Colorado State University to honor all that Gary has given to the program over his 29-year career. The concert is on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. in Griffin Concert Hall at the University Center for the Arts, located at 1400 Remington St.
We invite alumni, students, colleagues, and friends to help by sending us pictures of Dr. Moody for a slideshow that will be presented during the concert. Please contact Copper Ferreira if you have an interest in sharing your your photos; a link to an electronic folder to which you can add your own pictures and photographic memories will be provided.
Because of the impact Dr. Moody had teaching oboe and bassoon for many years, we invite his former applied students to join in a large double reed ensemble (bassoon and oboe only) to perform at the concert as a final farewell to a dear teacher. There will be a brief rehearsal at 2 p.m. in the Runyan Rehearsal Hall for bassoon and oboe players who would like to perform—Dr. Rebecca Phillips is conducting. Concert black is not required; please just wear something nice, and colors are welcome. Download Bach Chorales (PDF)
This concert is free but we ask that you please reserve a ticket.
