Choral and Voice Day
The choral and voice faculty invite high school vocalists to join in a celebration of singing.
The focus will be on chamber repertoire and leadership strategies for all members of your choir! It will be an exciting day of music, fellowship, and leadership activities led by members of the CSU choral and voice faculty.
A Message From The Director
It’s hard for me to believe that mid-August is already here! Many of you are probably reporting back to work this week or next for meetings, planning days, and maybe your first days with students!!! I hope that you had a relaxing and regenerative summer and are ready for another new year!
I would like to invite you and a chamber ensemble to join us for our annual CSU Choral/Voice Day. We are inviting each school to bring up to around 24 high school aged singers, in balanced quartets if possible. If you have more students in your ensemble or need to bring a treble/bass only group then please let me know and we should be able to accommodate!). The focus for this year will be on chamber repertoire (particularly madrigals!) and leadership strategies for all members of your choir! It will be an exciting day of music, fellowship, and leadership activities led by members of the CSU choral and voice faculty. I hope that you can join us! The event will be held at CSU during the day, so your students can be back to school for practices and other activities.
Lunch will be provided and registration is only $7 per student if we receive your registration form by the early registration date, and $15 per student after that date. You can bring your check on the day of the event or send it in the mail in advance, but unfortunately we are not equipped to accept credit card payments. Registration cost goes entirely toward the purchase of lunch, music, and accompanist fees for the day.
I hope that you consider joining us for an exciting day! Please email me if you have any questions!
Here’s to a successful school year and please let me know if I can ever be of assistance this year! Visiting your choirs is one of the highlights of my job!
