Modernized Americana
In this program, Colorado State University flute faculty Megan Lanz, with piano faculty Jooyeon Chang and bassoon professor Cayla Bellamy, present a modernized narrative of 21st century American music. This multiculturally-inclusive program celebrates the inspiring and intersecting variety of social and cultural influences on flute music, including music by living composers Sarah Bassingthwaighte, Will Linthicum-Blackhorse, Marilyn Bliss, and a world premiere of a new commission by CSU faculty member Kevin Poelking.
