With Theresa Bogard, Piano

Internationally acclaimed cellist, Barbara Thiem, who combines her teaching and coaching with her active schedule of performances in Europe and the U.S., has been performing with Theresa Bogard, music department chair at the University of Wyoming, for many years. For this concert, music originally played on a fortepiano, the instrument available during and following Beethoven’s time, is going to be highlighted, including works by Schubert, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn. A fortepiano is being transported from Wyoming for this event.

A afternoon masterclass will be offered so piano students can experience how the action and sound of this special instrument varies from a contemporary piano.
