The University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Wes Kenney, performs two grand pieces for orchestra with large percussion section: La noche de los Mayas by Silvestre Revueltas, composed in 1939 for a film of the same name, Maurice Ravel’s seductive second suite from the ballet Daphnis and Chloe, Wesley Ferreira and Barbara Theim perform Double Concerto for Clarinet and Cello by Jonathan Russell with the orchestra.
