University Symphony Orchestra Concert: The Concerto Competition Returns!

After two years, one of the most exciting nights on the calendar returns — our annual concerto competition. Three competitors from across CSU Music compete for the coveted title. Also on the program is Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 1.

Student competitors include:

  • Natalie Morris performing Clarinet Concerto No.2 in E-flat major, Op.74 by Carl Maria von Weber (Mvts. 2 and 3)
  • Becky Needham performing Avner Dorman’s Piccolo Concerto
  • Jialin Wu performing Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54

Please Note:

  • Masks are required for all patrons regardless of age in all areas of the UCA.
  • Please observe social distancing of 6′ between other patrons in all areas of the UCA.
  • Concert programs are available in a virtual format only and may be viewed via a QR code at the performance when available.
