2023 9News Parade of Lights in Denver

The CSU Marching Band returns to the 2023 9NEWS Parade of Lights, leading the annual event through the streets of downtown Denver on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.

The Colorado State Marching Band is the only university marching band to participate in the Parade of Lights and has led the parade through the streets of downtown Denver for 15 years running! The CSU Marching Band is a dynamic student organization with more than 200 members representing every college on campus and more than 50 majors. Members of the CSU Marching Band hail from 95 different high schools across 23 states. Joining the band are CAM the Ram, the CSU Ramhandlers, and the CSU Spirit Squad.

Parade watching in Denver

This year’s Parade of Lights only takes place on Saturday, Dec. 2. The two-mile parade begins at the Denver Civic Center, and, after winding through downtown, concludes at the corner of 14th Street and Glenarm Place.

CSU’s musicians, colorguard, and Golden Poms, joined by CSU Cheer and Cam the Ram, will lead the numerous floats, balloons, and dozens of holiday characters as the only collegiate marching band in the parade.

The band will stop in front of the CSU Denver Center, 475 17th St., to perform the fight song for alumni and Ram fans.
