CSU Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Wil Swindler, celebrates Marty Paich’s 2025 centennial, performing great big band music by Paich and fellow Californian Bill Holman. The concert features music as performed by Sammy Davis Jr., Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Kenton, Terry Gibbs, and others. Expect plenty of cool West Coast swing from the 1950s and ’60s. Jazz Ensemble II, directed by Darren Kramer, performs a set of Jazz classics showcasing the heritage of Jazz in America.
