A Fabled Afternoon
The Concert Orchestra presents an afternoon of fables and stories. The program conducted by Dr. Rachel Phillips opens with Georg Philipp Telemann’s Don Quixote Suite, a charming musical depiction of Miguel de Cervantes’ beloved characters. The concert also includes Richard Meyer’s Fables and Jarod Tate’s Chokfi’, based on the Chickasaw legend of a trickster rabbit.
