Jazz Classics: 100 Years of Jazz by Decade (Part 1 – 1920s-1960s) 

Join CSU Jazz Ensembles on a journey from the inception of Jazz as the American artform to present day. The Jazz Ensembles will perform music chronologically from the 1920s through the 1960s demonstrating the development of Jazz styles in the big band.  In addition to compelling music, this concert will be a journey through the evolution of our cherished musical and cultural history.  This concert will feature music from Duke Ellington, Fletcher Henderson, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie, and Thad Jones.
