With Tim Burns, Piano; Margaret Miller, Viola; Joshua Manculich, Choreographer

Mezzo soprano Nicole Asel and pianist Tim Burns explore some of the most beloved pieces from the vocal repertoire including Johannes Brahms’ viola songs with Margaret Miller, selections from Mahler’s Rückert Lieder, and Samuel Barber’s Opus 13, including ‘Sure on This Shining Night’ and recent American folk song settings. Choreographer Joshua Manculich, a 2015 Princess Grace Choreography Fellow, and dancers from Houston, Texas will be featured as guest performers throughout the recital. This recital is an extension of a years-long relationship and collaboration of music and movement.
