The string area welcomes guest artist Martin Chalifour, the concertmaster of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra to CSU for a recital and masterclass.

Mr. Chlifour’s Schedule:

Recital: Monday, Oct. 24, 7:30 p.m., Organ Recital Hall
The recital program will include Sergei Prokofiev’s Sonata for Two Violins in C major, op.56, George Phillip Telemann’s Concerto for Four Violins No. 2 in D major (performed with CSU graduate students), and Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto, op.77 (with Oboe Professor Andrew Jacobson performing the oboe solo in the 2nd Movement).

Masterclass: Tuesday, Oct. 25, 12-1:30 p.m., Organ Recital Hall
The master class features CSU students including violin students from the studio of Ron Francois.
