Pre-College Chamber Music Festival

Overview

Colorado State University is proud to host the annual Pre-College Chamber Music Festival, an instructional intensive for the region’s best high school string quartets, culminating with a FREE public concert in the Organ Recital Hall at the University Center for the Arts. Prizes will be awarded.

As a component of the festival, CSU welcomes quartet-in-residence, the Borromeo String Quartet. The quartet will lead master classes for participating pre-college quartets throughout the final weekend of the spring session.

Eligibility: The festival is open to all quartets participating in the 8-week Pre-College String Quartet Program. High School quartets not participating in the 8-week program may apply to participate during the festival weekend. As part of the application process, please have a quartet movement prepared.
