Music: Janet Pollack to speak @ American Musicological Society 2010 Conference

04.16.10 - Dr. Janet Pollack, Colorado State University assistant professor of musicology, has been invited to speak at the 2010 American Musicological Society National/International Conference, November 10 - 14 in Indianapolis, IN. Her research project on 19th-Century London Piano Forte School was selected from nearly 700 submissions by society members. "I am surprised and delighted by my abstract's acceptance since this arena is the most competitive in my discipline," said Dr. Pollack.

The American Musicological Society was founded in 1934 to advance research in the various fields of music as a branch of learning and scholarship. 3,600 individuals and 1,100 institutional subscribers from over forty nations participate in the Society.
