Percussion Camp

Overview

Percussion Camp for high school students includes instruction on how to prepare and audition successfully toward acceptance as a collegiate music major. The workshop focuses on the four primary percussion instruments: Mallets (2 and 4 mallet), Timpani, Snare Drum, and Drum Set, as well as insight on applications, scholarships, equipment, and student skills.

We will accept committed high school students, ages 14-18.

UPDATE: Per Colorado State University policies regarding COVID-19, all School of Music, Theatre, and Dance events and related activities originally scheduled through June 30, 2020 have been cancelled, including Percussion Camp. Please check back in Jan. 2021 for next year's dates.

Cost

Cost: $125; includes session handouts, and lunches; housing not included; private lessons optional (additional $30.00 per half hour paid directly to the lesson instructor).
