 a Llanera\, a concert featuring music of Venezuela\, with faculty artist D
 r. Ysmael Reyes performing the world premiere of Raimundo Pineda’s Conce
 rto for Flute and Wind Symphony. The music of Venezuela is vibrant\, with 
 the Joropo representing the fundamental genre of this South American cultu
 re. This popular dance has a lively character and is featured throughout t
 he program in pieces by Venezuelan composers such as Pedro Elías Gutiérr
 ez\, Navarro\, and Moisés Moleiro. We look forward to celebrating the mus
 ic of Venezuela with you!
