DESCRIPTION:Members of the Wind Symphony perform chamber works by Michael D
 augherty\, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\, Ned Rorem\, Vincent d'Indy\, and Jame
 s M. David\, conducted by Sheridan Monroe Loyd.\n\nThe Wind Symphony\, con
 ducted by Dr. Rebecca Phillips\, is the premier concert band\, performing 
 the finest literature of yesterday\, today\, and tomorrow with a flexible 
 instrumentation that includes as few as eight or as many as seventy-five p
 layers. Membership\, determined each semester by a blind audition\, includ
 es the most accomplished graduate and undergraduate music students from th
 e School of Music\, Theatre\, and Dance. In addition to commissioning and 
 premiering new works\, the CSU Wind Symphony regularly features faculty ar
 tists and the ensemble tours throughout the state and region\, performing 
 at regional and national conventions and conferences across the west.
