DESCRIPTION:Professors Sommer and Stroman share a great fondness and nostal
 gia for the alternative rock movement of the early 1990s commonly known as
  “Grunge” or the “Seattle Sound\,” best exemplified by bands such 
 as Nirvana\, Pearl Jam\, Soundgarden\, and Alice in Chains.\n\nCan these s
 talwart jazz musicians meld their love of America’s art form with this l
 ate-20thcentury fusion of hardcore punk and heavy metal?\n\nResults from e
 xtensive lab work will be unleashed upon the public in this special joint 
 recital featuring musical guests from the Colorado jazz scene.
