DESCRIPTION:Tickets go on sale Aug. 31.\nGrammy-nominated and international
 ly renowned songwriter and piano sensation\, Jim Brickman\, will wow the a
 udience with his uplifting\, family-friendly “GREATEST HITS LIVE” con
 cert. The concert takes place on Saturday\, Oct. 1\, 8 p.m. in Griffin Con
 cert Hall at the University Center for the Arts. The UCA is located at 140
 0 Remington Street in Fort Collins.\nConcert proceeds will benefit the You
 th Programs in Arts and Education fund at CSU\, which supports programs th
 at provide youth in underserved areas of Northern Colorado opportunities t

 hool across Northern Colorado and beyond and embody Colorado State Univers

 e program that brings together the visual arts\, dance\, music\, and theat
 er\, and through interactive lessons provides arts enrichment and educatio

 pically serves around 450 students every year from Title 1 elementary scho

 unity-based music outreach program for developing Middle School musicians.
  This collaborative initiative brings together more than 60 music educator
 s\, including advanced high school students\, CSU music majors\, collegiat
 e faculty\, practicing teachers\, and retired sages to provide instruction
  to more than 200 young musicians over the 14-week program. Students are l
 oaned musical instruments and given expert music lessons at an extremely l
 ow cost to foster and inspire a love of music and teaching. music.colostat

 ents that cultivates and develops the next generation of excellent seconda
 ry music teachers. The best way to train music teachers is to provide auth
 entic teaching opportunities while engaging in a community of reflective p
 ractitioners. Over a 10-week period\, all participants are involved in tea
 ching local middle school students who are members of MSOE. Undergraduate 
 and graduate music education students design\, implement\, and teach all a
 spects of the program\, culminating with a concert in the University Cente
