 rful and heroic combat units in World War II. In 1941\, 300 young American
  men and women departed the United States disguised as missionaries\, plan
 ters\, and circus performers to secretly train in the jungles of Southeast
  Asia\, preparing to fight the Japanese Air Force over the skies of China
  and Burma.\n\nThis small but feisty group of men and women who fought aga
 inst overwhelming odds\, and lifted the spirits of both the American and C
 hinese people during the darkest days of World War II through their coura
