SUMMARY:Sound Decisions: Live Audio Production Workshop and Demonstration
DESCRIPTION:As part of Fort Collins Startup Week\, join the Colorado State 
 University Jazz Ensembles for an evening of big band jazz\, while learning
  the fundamentals of live audio production for jazz ensembles utilizing th
 e new state of the art audio system in Griffin Concert Hall. Space is lim
 ited and registration is required.\n\nLearn about:\n\n 	instrumentation an
 d set up requirements for a jazz big band\n 	how to properly amplify an ac
 oustic piano and other rhythm section instruments\n 	microphones for trump
 et\, trombone\, and saxophone\, and how to properly set the microphones in
  the sections\n 	how to do a live mix for a jazz ensemble using a DiGiCo c
 onsole\n\nSpeaker: Jim Doser\n\nJim Doser graduated from the University of
  Wyoming in 1999 with bachelor degrees in music theory and composition. He
  attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences and graduated wi
 th a Certificate of Master Recording\, as well as Protools Certification. 
 Jim spent sixteen years in Los Angeles\, including twelve years at the ren
 owned Complex Studios\, eventually attaining the position of head audio en
 gineer and studio manager.
