DESCRIPTION:Pulling the Heartstrings\n\nThe University Symphony Orchestra s
 trings and percussion perform Gustav Mahler’s beloved Adagietto from Sym
 phony No. 5\, a work said to be a love poem to his beloved Alma. Passion\,
  love\, jealousy\, and tragedy are all part of Georges Bizet’s supremely
  popular opera Carmen. Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin recreates the mus
 ic of Bizet in a unique and clever setting for strings and percussion. The
  program is rounded out by a further exploration of Black composers\, Will
 iam Grant Still being one of the most famous.\n\nWhile there are no in-per
 son events this spring\, students\, family\, friends\, and arts patrons ca
 n access live-streamed and/or on-demand performances created by the School
