DESCRIPTION:The School of Music\, Theatre\, and Dance welcomes Dr. Virginia
  Broffitt Kunzer for a masterclass.\n\nDr. Virginia Broffitt Kunzer has bu
 ilt a successful and diverse career as a soloist\, orchestral and chamber 
 musician\, and teacher. She is the Professor of Flute at Auburn University
  and the Principal Flute of the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. She has me
 ntored young musicians during the Hot Springs Music Festival and is a foun
 ding member of both the Pangaea Chamber Players and the Elicio Winds. Befo
 re joining Auburn\, she taught at Oklahoma State University and Western Il
 linois University\, and performed with the Camerata Woodwind Quintet. Her 
 past orchestral experience includes positions with the Fort Wayne Philharm
 onic and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. She also won the National 
 Flute Association’s Young Artist Competition.\nVirginia has performed an
 d taught throughout the United States\, Asia\, and Europe. In January 2021
 \, she released an album with the Pangaea Chamber Players [Navona]\, follo
 wed by a solo album with pianist Tammie Walker [MSR]\, and a chamber album
  with the Elicio Winds [Blue Griffin]\, both released in 2023. She has sev
 eral published flute and piano arrangements through Alry Publications.\nOr
 iginally from Iowa City\, Iowa\, Virginia holds degrees from the Universit
 y of North Carolina School of the Arts (BM) and the University of Cincinna
 ti College-Conservatory of Music (MM and DMA). She studied under Randy Bow
 man\, Dr. Tadeu Coelho\, Jack Wellbaum\, and Dr. Irna Priore. For more inf
