SUMMARY:Kodály Music Teaching Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is geared toward CSU Music Education majors at bo
 th the undergraduate and graduate level pertaining to teaching music to gr
 ade levels K-5. As the home of the Colorado Kodály Institute (CKI)\, this
  workshop draws CSU’s summer Kodály students as well as CKI Alumni\, an
 d many area teachers from throughout the state.\n\nPresenter: Julie Swank\
 nJulie Swank has taught music at all levels from Pre-K to Master's level. 
 She currently teaches band and musicology for grades six through eight at 
 Northmont Middle School\, near Dayton\, Ohio. She is a graduate of Capital
  University and the University of Dayton with a Kodály certificate from t
 he Kodály Center at Capital. She is a past-president of MKMEA and has ser
 ved as the archivist. She plays principal horn in the Miami Valley Symphon
 y Orchestra and is a frequent presenter at workshops and conferences throu
 ghout the United States.\n\nCost:\n$40/ROCKE members $50/non-members\, $20
