SUMMARY:Jazz Barn Concert Series: Gabriel Mervine\, Trumpet
DESCRIPTION:Jim and Wendy Franzen generously sponsor the Jazz Barn Concert 
 Series and annually support the Jazz Program at Colorado State University.
  These concerts are a unique gift to the Front Range community. The Jazz B
 arn Concert Series continues to be a series of special occasions when gues
 ts have the opportunity to enjoy fine music\, stimulating conversation\, a
 nd unique interactions with visiting jazz musicians.\n\nOur guest this tim
 e is Gabriel Mervine on jazz trumpet. Gabriel has played everything from M
 ariachi to Mahler\, but his focus is on jazz. He has played with Natalie C
 ole\, John Scofield\, Christian McBride\, Terence Blanchard\, and many oth
 ers. Barn veterans Peter Sommer on saxophone\, Steve Kovalcheck on guitar\
 , Ken Walker on bass\, and Jeff Jenkins on piano will also join in this ti
 me.\n\nDoors open at 2:30 p.m.\, music will begin at 3 p.m.\n\nReservation
 s: Seating is limited\, and reservations are on a first-come\, first-serve
 d basis. A donation ticket price of $25/person made directly to the CSU Ja
 zz Scholarship fund is requested for attendance. Donations can be made eas
 ily online or will be accepted at the door. Checks can be made out to the 
 CSU Foundation (note Jazz Barn in the memo). The entire donated amount goe
 s toward supporting the Jazz Program at CSU. Donations may be tax-deductib
 le\; please consult your tax adviser.
