DESCRIPTION:CSU's nationally renowned Honor Band Festival brings together C
 olorado’s finest high school musicians\, selected from hundreds of appli
 cants throughout the state\; the three day festival takes place at the Uni
 versity Center for the Arts at Colorado State University in Fort Collins\,
  Colo. Guest clinicians and conductors enhance the student’s experience\
 , providing invaluable insight and expertise. In addition to rehearsals\, 
 students enjoy several concerts given by CSU faculty and student ensembles
 . The experience is capped off with a performance by the honor band in the
  beautiful\, state-of-the art Griffin Concert Hall.\n\nOUr 2016 guest cond
 uctor is Travis J. Cross\, associate professor of music and department vic
 e chair at UCLA\, where he conducts the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band a
 nd directs the graduate program in wind conducting.
