DESCRIPTION:Contemporary Works for Saxophone and Piano \n\nSince 2010\, Du
 ality has promoted new works for saxophone and piano that challenge the li
 stener and highlight the beauty of these instruments. They perform existin
 g pieces and commission new works that live long beyond the ensemble. \n\
 nVanessa Sielert\, saxophone\, is Professor of Music at the Lionel Hampton
  School of Music at the University of Idaho. She is a performer\, educator
 \, and clinician who has collaborated with such ensembles as the Spokane J
 azz Orchestra\, Symphony Tacoma\, the Bob Curnow Big Band\, the Palouse Ja
 zz Project\, the Free Range Saxophone Quartet\, and the Civic Orchestra of
  Chicago. Vanessa is a Selmer Performing Artist and Clinician. www.vanessa
 sielert.com. \n\nCatherine Anderson is a pianist based in the Pacific Nor
 thwest who served on the Lionel Hampton School of Music faculty for ten ye
 ars. She is in demand as a collaborative artist throughout the region\, pe
 rforming regularly with faculty and students from the University of Idaho\
 , Washington State University\, and Central Washington University. She has
  collaborated with guest artists such as John Dicesare (principal tuba) an
 d Ko-ichiro Yamamoto (principal trombone) of the Seattle Symphony.
