DESCRIPTION:Duos for Classical Guitar and Double Bass\n\nColin Davin and Dr
 . Benjamin de Kock will perform two sets of duos: the Six Miniatures by Ha
 rriet Steinke\, and Five Dances by Annette Kruisbrink. In addition to the 
 duos\, each will perform solos\, including Mysterious Habitats by Dušan B
 ogdanović\, the Prelude from Bach's Cello Suite no. 6\, Alma Llanera by P
 edro Elías Gutiérrez\, (arr. Alirio Día)\, and the Four Solo Pieces by 
 David Anderson.\n\nColin Davin Guitar Hailed as “the real thing\, a play
 er with a virtuoso’s technique\, a deeply expressive musicianship\, and 
 a probing imagination” (American Record Guide) who “has the distinct a
 bility to wring the depths of expressiveness from all that he plays” (Cl
 assical Guitar Magazine)\, and for his “precision\, musical intelligence
  and passion” (Cleveland Classical)\, guitarist In addition to Mr. Davin
 's numerous acclaimed performances\, his solo recording\, “The Infinite 
 Fabric of Dreams” has been praised as “some of the finest interpretati
 ons I’ve heard...achingly beautiful...a thoughtful\, perceptive interpre
 tation\, filled with details often missed” (American Record Guide) and "
 a first-rate disc...Davin knows the pieces deeply and delivers virtuosic a
 nd exciting performances...state of the art" (Soundboard Magazine). Colin 
 has been invited to teach in a guest capacity at institutions including Th
 e Juilliard School\, Oberlin Conservatory\, University of Cincinnati Colle
 ge-Conservatory of Music\, Arizona State University\, and the Aspen Music 
 Festival and School. He holds a Master of Music from The Juilliard School\
 , where he studied with Sharon Isbin\; and preparatory studies at the Clev
 eland Institute of Music with Jason Vieaux.\n\nDr. Benjamin de Kock recei
 ved his bachelor and master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati C
 ollege-Conservatory of Music and his doctorate at the University of Colora
 do at Boulder. He is principal bass of the San Juan Symphony in Durango Co
 \, principal bass with the Colorado Bach Ensemble\, assistant principal of
  the Steamboat Symphony Orchestra\, assistant 3rd chair with the Greeley S
 ymphony\, a section member of the Boulder Philharmonic\, and a regular sub
  the Colorado Symphony\, Colorado Ballet\, and Opera Colorado. In addition
  to his busy performing career\, he is an affiliate professor of bass at R
 egis University in Denver\, and a teacher at the Rocky Ridge School.\n\n&n
