Bradley Baker\, Piano\n\nDr. Brian Walker the Associate Professor of Trumpet at the University of North Texas. Prior to his appoi ntment at UNT\, Brian Walker was Professor of Trumpet at Tarleton State Un iversity in Stephenville\, Texas for twelve years. As a teacher\, his stud ents have been accepted into many undergraduate and graduate music program s and currently perform in orchestras and premier military groups througho ut the United States. His students are frequently featured at the National Trumpet Competition and International Trumpet Guild Conferences as compet itors\, presenters\, and performers.\n\nAs a performer\, he has appeared w ith various orchestral groups in the DFW region and is currently Second Tr umpet with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. As a commercial musician\, D r. Walker has played for various Broadway and Musical Theater organization s in Dallas and Fort Worth. As a soloist\, Dr. Walker has given recitals t hroughout the United States and in Greece\, France\, China and Brazil. He was featured soloist on the Tarleton State Wind Ensemble’s performance a t Carnegie Hall in 2014 and this ensemble's performance at the Texas Music Education Association Conference in 2022.\n\nBrian is active in the Inter national Trumpet Guild where he serves on the Board of Directors\, on the Recording Projects Committee\, Chairs the Conference Golf Scramble Scholar ship Fundraiser Committee and Chairs the Financial Investments Committee. Dr. Walker also serves as an adjudicator for the National Trumpet Competit ion and ITG Competitions and is often sought as a pedagogue for masterclas ses throughout the United States.\n\nDr. Walker holds degrees from the Uni versity of North Texas (DMA)\, The Florida State University (MM) and South eastern Oklahoma State University (BM) where he studied with Michael Miles \, Christopher Moore\, and John Holt\, respectively.\n\nHe is a Yamaha Per forming Artist and plays exclusively on Yamaha trumpets.\n\nAmerican piani st-coach J. BRADLEY BAKER enjoys a versatile career as a soloist\, collabo rative artist and coach\, educator\, and music administrator. Baker’s so lo performances have been heard throughout the United States\, France\, It aly\, and Canada. As an opera professional\, Baker serves as Principal Coa ch on the Music Staff of The Glimmerglass Festival in Cooperstown\, New Yo rk\, and is Co-Founding Executive &\; Music Director of Music On Site\, an opera company based in Central Kansas\, which produces a ten-day Winte r Opera Season of professional opera productions in Wichita\, Kansas and t he surrounding communities. Baker has also served as pianist\, coach\, or conductor with Opera Naples\, Opera Arlington\, Chicago Summer Opera\, Law rence Opera Theatre\, Opera Seme\, Lyric Opera of Orange County\, Landlock ed Opera\, Wichita Grand Opera\, Natchez Festival of Music\, Opera Birming ham\, LOLA-Austin\, Tabor College Opera\, and University of Alabama Opera Theatre. As a collaborative pianist and chamber musician\, Baker has perfo rmed at many international and national conferences and festivals\, includ ing those of the International Double Reed Society\, International Women ’s Brass Conference\, National Trumpet Competition\, Hot Springs Music F estival\, North American Viola Institute\, Ad Astra Music Festival\, Natio nal Opera Association\, ClarinetFest\, CollabFest\, College Music Society\ , National Association of College Wind &\; Percussion Instructors\, Mus ic Teachers National Association\, NATS\, among others.
