This recital takes listeners on a journey through the heart of Parisian life through the poetry and music of late 19th century France with well-known favorites and a few unknown gems by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Reynaldo Hahn, Nadia Boulanger, Jacques Offenbach, and Erik Satie. Joshua May is an active performer of opera, oratorio, and art song and has performed at the Atlantic Music Festival, Harrower Opera Workshop, Intermezzo Opera Festival, Halifax Summer Opera Workshop, Tyrolean Opera Program, Contemporary Americana Festival, Opera in the Ozarks Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and more.
