SUMMARY:Dalcroze Workshop: Dare to Dabble with Dalcroze Eurhythmics
DESCRIPTION:Swiss music educator\, Emile Jaques-Dalcroze (1865-1950)\, beli
 eved in movement as our “sixth sense.” This workshop introduces partic
 ipants to Dalcroze Eurhythmics\, where\, through movement\, sound is exper
 ienced in an entirely new way. Learn kinesthetic games and activities that
  teach your students musical concepts such as beat\, meter\, rhythm\, melo
 dic contour\, dynamics\, articulation\, and phrasing. Dalcroze techniques 
 will engage your students through perceptive listening\, concentration\, a
 nd musical problem-solving\, while enabling them to become more musically 
 expressive. The workshop is designed for K-12 music teachers\, applied mus
 ic instructors\, as well as anyone who teaches or performs music\, and is 
 a sample of content for MU 524 Dalcroze Eurhythmics at CSU. Registration r
