CSU’s Chamber and Concert Choirs with Laudamus Chamber Chorale

CSU’s Chamber and Concert Choirs are excited to join forces with Laudamus Chamber Chorale to perform Mozart’s monumental “Requiem,” accompanied by an orchestra comprised of professional instrumentalists from across the Front Range. The mystery surrounding this magnificent work is well documented, mainly due to the myths and controversies about its completion. Mozart was terminally ill and did not finish the work before his death. His widow had it finished to honor her late husband, essentially making it a requiem for Mozart himself. There is still much debate about which parts Mozart actually completed and what music his student, Franz Xaver Süssmayr, composed using notes from his teacher. Regardless, the work has become universally loved and performed all around the world.
