DESCRIPTION:Concert program (PDF)\n\nThe young violist is quickly gaining a
  reputation for his eloquent music making\, distinctive sound\, and effort
 less virtuosity.\n\nRecipient of the prestigious 2015 Avery Fisher Career 
 Grant\, Taiwanese-American violinist Paul Huang is already recognized for
  his intensely expressive music making\, distinctive sound\, and effortles
 s virtuosity. Following his Kennedy Center debut\, The Washington Post pro
 claimed: “Huang is definitely an artist with the goods for a significant
  career.” In 2013\, The New York Times praised his “masterly account o
 f Barber’s Violin Concerto” with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Alic
 e Tully Hall.\n\nMr. Huang's recent recital appearances included Lincoln C
 enter\, the Kennedy Center\, University of Georgia Performing Arts\, Unive
 rsity of Florida Performing Arts\, the Strathmore Center\, Buffalo Chamber
  Music Society\, Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach\, Isabella Stewart Ga
 rdner Museum\, Jordan Hall\, the Louvre in Paris\, Seoul Arts Center\, and
  National Concert Hall in Taiwan.\n\nHis first solo CD\, Intimate Inspirat
 ion\, was released on the CHIMEI label. In association with the Camerata P
 acifica\, he also recorded "Four Songs of Solitude" for solo violin for th
 eir album of John Harbison works. The album was released on Harmonia Mundi
  in fall 2014.\n\nAn acclaimed chamber musician\, Mr. Huang appears as a m
 ember of the prestigious Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s CMS T
 wo as well as a Principal Artist for the Camerata Pacifica in Santa Barbar
 a and throughout California. A frequent guest artist at summer music festi
 vals worldwide\, his upcoming appearances include debuts at Music@Menlo\, 
 La Jolla\, Bad Kissingen\, as well as returning to Caramoor\, CHANEL\, Gre
 at Mountains\, and Moritzburg Festivals. His collaborators have included G
 il Shaham\, Pamela Frank\, Kim Kashkashian\, Nobuko Imai\, Maxim Rysanov\,
  Roberto Diaz\, David Finckel\, Paul Watkins\, and Frans Helmerson.\n\nBor
 n in Taiwan\, Mr. Huang began violin lessons at the age of seven. Since en
 tering the Juilliard Pre-College at fourteen\, he has continued studies at
  the school with Hyo Kang and I-Hao Lee. Mr. Huang was a recipient of the 
 inaugural Kovner Fellowship at The Juilliard School\, where he earned his 
 Bachelor's and Master's degrees. He plays on the 1742 ex-Wieniawski Guarne
 ri del Gesù on loan through the generous efforts of the Stradivari Societ

 ssica Osborne\, Piano.\n\nPianist Jessica Xylina Osborne was born in 1979 
 in San Antonio\, TX\, and grew up in Reston\, VA. Dubbed a “superb piani
 st” and "... A pianist with a refreshing mellowness and poetic touch" by
  the Washington Post\, Ms. Osborne's career has allowed her to perform con
 certs in some of the most prestigious venues in the world\, including Weil
 l Hall and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall\, the Terrace Theater at the Kenne
 dy Center\, and the Seoul Arts Center\, among others. Ms. Osborne has rece
 ived degrees in piano performance from Indiana University (B.M.)\, Rice Un
 iversity (M.M.)\, and Yale University (A.D. and D.M.A.).  She has had the
  privilege to work with many important mentors\, including Claude Frank\, 
 Emile Naoumoff\, Jon Kimura Parker\, Seymour Lipkin\, Marjorie Lee\, and h
 er mother\, Patricia Osborne.  This season\, she is embarking upon an exc
 iting tour of recitals presenting works by women composers\, both past and
