SUMMARY:Cavarra Organ Series Concert: Kimberly Marshall\, Organ
DESCRIPTION:Kimberly Marshall is known worldwide for her compelling present
 ations of organ music. She currently holds the Patricia and Leonard Goldma
 n Endowed Professorship in Organ at Arizona State University. From 2019-20
 22 she held the Hedda Andersson Visiting Professorship at the Malmö Acade
 my of Music. Her distinguished achievement in organ performance and schola
 rship has been recognized by the Royal College of Organists with their hig
 hest award. She is the principal editor for a publicly accessible online E
 ncyclopedia of the Organ and for the Oxford Handbook of Organ Pedagogy and
  Performance. She is also an accomplished teacher\, giving master classes 
 internationally and teaching an annual summer organ academy in Santa Fe\, 
 New Mexico.\n\nMarshall has performed and presented her research at 13 nat
 ional conventions of the American Guild of Organists. She gave the final r
 ecital on the two large organs at Stanford’s Memorial Church for the San
  Francisco Convention in July 2024. In 2023 she gave recitals for the Oaxa
 ca International Organ Festival\, a teaching residency at Yale University\
 , and performances at the Orgelpark in Amsterdam\, St. Paul’s Cathedral\
 , London\, and on the new symphonic organ at Göteborg Concert Hall (Swede
 n). In 2024\, she was invited for a residency at the Tokyo University of F
 ine Arts\, a concert tour on the east coast of Italy\, and as a member of 
 the jury for the Canadian International Organ Competition in Montréal. Sh
 e opened the 2025 concert series at St. Thomas\, Fifth Avenue\, New York\,
  later performing in Buenos Aires\, Belgium\, and Sweden. Her engagements 
 in 2026 include participation in an 8-day performance of John Cage’s Org
 an2/ASLSP\, concerts in the US and Mexico\, and adjudication for the Munic
 h International Music Competition.\n\nPerformer\, scholar\, and educator\,
  Kimberly Marshall is a committed advocate of the organ. She works to prom
 ote the instrument in both local and global communities. An authority on t
 he organ’s rich history over the past 2000 years\, she is devoted to con
 tinuing this tradition of artistic ingenuity into the next millennium.\n\n
