DESCRIPTION:Join us for this free concert featuring Michelle Stanley (flute
 )\, Stanley Curtis (trumpet)\, Tiffany Blake (soprano) and Jooyeon Chang (
 piano). Songs performed will include Martyrdom of Marsyas \, Selections fr
 om The Hermit Songs and The Hollow Men. The performance will be held in th
 e GAMA’s Griffin ​Foundation Gallery\, surrounded by ​art from the e
 xhibition Glorioserías​: The Body in Late Twentieth Century Mexican Art
 . The museum director\, Dr. Lynn Boland\, will speak on the connection bet

  the performers:\nTiffany Blake\, Associate Professor of Music: Praised b
 y Opera News Online for her “…truly virtuoso performance... immaculate
  tone\, good support and breath to spare.”\, soprano\, Dr. Tiffany Blake
 \, received her D.M.A. in Vocal Performance with a minor in Opera Stage Di
 rection from the Eastman School of Music\, where she also earned her M.M. 
 and was awarded the prestigious Performer's Certificate.\n\nStanley Curtis
 \, Assistant Professor of Music: Stanley Curtis has developed a multi-fac
 eted career as a trumpeter\, composer\, and early music specialist. After 
 studying at the University of Alabama\, the Cleveland Institute of Music\,
  and in the Netherlands on a Fulbright Scholarship\, he received his Docto
 r of Music from Indiana University in 2005.\n\nMichelle Stanley\, Associat
 e Professor of Music: Praised for her “fine breath control and offers s
 ubtlety in playing and a strong sense of the long\, lyrical lines"\, Miche
 lle is a performer of solo\, chamber and orchestral music. She is a regula
 r international artist and has enjoyed giving masterclasses from China to 
 the U.S. She has performed across the globe and is on the faculty of the I
 nterharmony Music Festival in Italy and director of CSU's Arts Management 
 program.\n\nJooyeon Chang\, Instructor of Music: Dr. Chang is an active c
 ollaborative pianist\, embracing a massive variety of repertoires includin
 g winds\, strings\, opera\, musical theatre\, and large ensembles. She ha
 s worked as a collaborative pianist around the world and has performed wit
 h world-renowned brass musicians such tuba greats as Øystein Baadsvik\, R
 oland Szentpali\, Thomas Lulu\, and euphonium players Steven Mead\, Anthon
 y Caillet\, and Bastien Baumet. For many years\, she has been official st
 aff pianist for the Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival\, Chœur de 
 l’Orchestre de Paris\, and a guest accompanist of Musique de Armée de l
 'Air de Paris.
